Spend more time on team structure/topology with my other product and engineering directors
Spend more time coaching and immersing in each project
Look over people's project plans each week
Spent even more time on purposefully acquiring team knowledge – made it part of the weekly plan
Learn more about business, finance, and data and then teach that to the team
Shift from tracking design activities, to tracking towards design results (the activities become a means to an end). Rather than saying "have click-through prototype done by X date," frame it as "determine and have perspective written on whether moving the network parameter closer to the search bar lowers member complaints on finding OON providers/increases for unauth the number of networks selected/lowers selection of "all plans." As a working team, we then never plan out activities beyond two weeks at a time (for most scenarios), or use Monday stand-ups to plan out the activities for the week.
